Back home from Hospital

Out of the hospital and rehab, I was on painkillers. Full on! Addicted. Yes, I was in pain and I was taking those magic pills for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, I was way too keen to have a beer like in my life before the crash. As we all know, painkiller drugs do not go very well with alcohol. So, I had to choose either drugs or beer.

Beer won. It took about three weeks to break the addiction habit. Withdrawal from painkillers was quite heavy. Problems with sleeping, well-being was up to shit, pain kicks, and other issues.

Yet, in the end, I came out clean and now can have my beer any time I like. Freedom at last! ))

I am still living with that phantom pain, but I take it as part of my life nowadays. I have just gotten used to it and deal with it every moment of my great life. ))
